City of Heroes Influence Are you arresting villains as fast as you can, but having a hard time keeping your inspirations up to par? Are you finding it difficult to figure out which Enhancements to replace and when due to having low Influence? Well, I�not going to tell you a sure fire way to make Influence hands over fist. I am going to give pointers on when and how to spend the Influence based on my own experiences. What I have found, is that the Training Enhancements don�really offer a great bonus. The bonus is nice, but the target here is to get into Dual Origins as soon and efficiently as you can. This is what I have done on every Hero of mine and it has worked out amazingly. First things first, I never spend Influence on level 5 or level 10 enhancements. It is just a waste of Influence to me, because the levels come so fast that you out grow them quickly, wasting the Influence. This is what I do: As I�gaining those low Security Levels, I select the powers at the appropriate levels and slot the ones I want slotted at the appropriate levels. I never, however, spend influence to fill those slots. I instead rely on drops off of the villains I�arresting. Also using drops to get them to ??or ?+?. I do this all the way to Security Level 12. At Level 12, I then upgrade all my slots to Level 15 TRAINING (not Dual Origin). I do this because the Levels in the mid teens still go by very quickly, and Dual Origins are considerably more expensive than Training. Save your Influence. After saving up your Influence until you reach Level 12 (as an example my current alt is Level 9 and has 20,000 Influence), you should be able to update ALL your slots to level 15 Training Origins. Now, as you Level to 15, us drops to bump the levels up these to 16 (15+) and 17(15++). This, in affect, gives you 5 levels to save up money to purchase Level 20 Dual Origins. I have done this twice so far, and at level 17, I have been able to upgrade about 95-98% of all my Training Origins to Dual Origins, including upgrading the Enhancements that do not have Level 20 Duals available. This will allow you to use drops again, to bump them to 21 and 22; save your Influence for the upgrade at Level 22, allowing you to upgrade to Level 25 Enhancements. The Influence now comes a lot faster than it has in the past, so don�sweat it, you will be fine. By the time you reach Level 27 and looking to do a huge push into Single Origin Enhancements, Influence issues are a thing of the past.
